The ball mill is a key equipment for grinding materials, widely used in powder-making production line such as cement, silicate sand, new-type building material, refractory material, fertilizer, ore dressing of ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal, glass ceramics, etc.
Ball mill can grind various ores and materials with dry type or wet type. There are two kinds of ball mills, grate type and overfall type due to different ways of discharging material.
The ball mills can be divided into dry ball mill and wet ball mill according to the process conditions.According to different materials will choose different grinding sub. The grinding sub can be roughly divided into metal and non - metal categories. The grinding sub of ball mill is steel ball, the grinding sub of rod mill (MBS type rod mill) is a steel bar, and the grinding sub of ceramic ball mill is ceramics.
Wet ball mill: Grind the material into a certain concentration of pulp, the general concentration is 60 ~ 70%.
Dry ball mill: Grind the material into the desired mineral powder. The thickness of the ore powder should be based on the grading of the grinding body.
The mining ball mill machine is composed by feeding part, discharging part, turning part and driving part (reducer, small driving gear, electric motor and electric control).
The quill shaft adopts cast steel part and the liner is detachable. The turning gearwheel adopts casting hobbing process and the drum is equipped with wear-resistant liner, which has good wear-resistance. The machine is with stable and reliable working condition.
Moreover, according to different materials and discharging methods, there are dry ball mills and wet ball mills for choice.
The electro motor drives the cylinder to rotate through the reduction gears and the peripheral rack wheel reducer transmission, or the low speed synchronous motor directly drives the cylinder to rotate through the peripheral rack wheel reducer transmission.
Inside the cylinder, there are proper ore grinding media-steel rod. Under the eccentric force and frictional force, the ore grinding media are lifted to a certain height and fall down in the state of dropping.
The materials to be ground continuously go into the cylinder from the ore feeding mouth and are crushed by the moving grinding media, and then are discharged by the overflow and the force of continuous feeding to go to the next procedure.
Quite simply, the longer the ball mill runs, the finer the powder will be. Ultimate particle size depends entirely on how hard the material you're grinding is, and the time how long the ball mill runs.
